Chinese FM meets Prachanda and Deuba before departing Beijing




Nepal Foreign Affairs (KATHMANDU, 10 September 2019) -Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Tuesday returned home after completing his three days visit to Nepal. Before departing to China, Minister Wang held meetings with Co- Chair of Nepal Communist Party – Puspa Kamal Dahal Prachanda  and leader of main opposition Sher Bahadur Deuba.   

According to private secretariat of Prachanda , they discussed the possibility of further enhancing bilateral relations, friendship and economic cooperation between the two countries. According to the sources, both leaders also talked about the exchanging and enhancing relations between NCP and CPC.

Prachanda inquired the much-awaited visit of President Xi to Nepal and Minister responded positively.  He said the high-level visit from China to Nepal would be held soon.  

Similalry, Deuaba and Minister Wang also discussed on Nepal-China relations.  Minister Wang informed Deuba about the President Xi’s possible visit to Nepal and believed that Nepal would receive him with unity.   

During the visit, he also met president Bidhya Devi Bhandari and prime minister K.P.Sharma Oli. He also held bilateral delegation meeting with his counterpart Pradeep Kumar Gyawali.
