Deuba’s meeting with Modi on 24 August, will visit Telangana and Bihar (MoFA’s Press Release)



The Rt. Hon’ble Mr. Sher Bahadur Deuba, Prime Minister of Nepal, is paying a State Visit to India from 23 to 27 August 2017 at the cordial invitation of the Prime Minister of India, His Excellency Shri Narendra Modi. The Prime Minister will be accompanied by his spouse, Hon’ble Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba. He will be staying at the Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi as the State Guest of the Government of India.

The entourage of The Rt. Hon. Prime Minister will comprise Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and other Ministers, Members of Parliament, Secretaries and other high-level officials of the Government of Nepal.

On August 24, The Rt. Hon’ble Prime Minister will attend the Ceremonial Reception and inspect a Guard of Honour at the Rashtrapati Bhawan. He will then pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat. On the same day, The Rt. Hon’ble Prime Minister Deuba will pay separate calls on His Excellency Shri Ram Nath Kovind, President, and His Excellency Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, Vice President of India. The Rt. Hon’ble Prime Minister will hold official meeting with His Excellency Shri Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India. The Prime Minister of India will host a Banquet Lunch in honour of the Prime Minister of Nepal and his delegation. Some senior Cabinet members of the Government of India will call on The Rt. Hon’ble Prime Minister.

The Rt. Hon. Prime Minister will also attend a reception hosted in his honour by His Excellency the Ambassador of Nepal and have a separate interaction with the Nepali community. He is scheduled to interact with intellectual circle and business community in New Delhi during the visit.

During the visit, The Rt. Hon’ble Prime Minister will also visit Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Bihar states of India.

The Rt. Hon’ble Prime Minister will return home on 27 August 2017.
