Govt not to bear accommodation, food, transportation for foreign rescue teams, says MoFA



The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has informed that all foreign teams interested and/or planning to come to Nepal for rescue and relief works, currently being undertaken in the country in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake, are required and requested to make their own arrangements for accommodation, food and transportation.
“They are also reminded to make sure that the mobilization of the medical equipment, medicines and the relief materials to be distributed to the victims of earthquake throughout the country is in conformity with the prevailing international standards and norms for such rescue and relief operations and in coordination with the relevant government agencies,” the MoFA said in a press statement.
