India hopeful for consensus among Nepali parties


Nepal Foreign Affairs (Kathmandu Jan 20) : Amid uncertainty in Nepal over the timely constitution, Nepal’s southern neighbor, India has expressed hope that Nepalese leaders will work together in the final stage of the peace process.

Issuing a press statement, on Tuesday, the Indian External Affairs Ministry’s Spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin has said, “It is our expectation that all Nepalese leaders will work together in the final stage of the Peace Process, in drawing up a Constitution that honors past agreements and understandings as well as the mandate of the CA elections.”
