Indian PM Modi promises to support for Nepal’s reconstruction



modi jiIndian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed willingness to provide all support to the earthquake-stricken Nepal.

 

 

The Indian Premier made such a commitment during a courtesy call paid by the Nepal’s ambassador to India Deep Kumar Upadhyay in New Delhi on Friday, Nepal Embassy in India said in a statement. During the meeting, Prime Minister Modi said that he was deeply saddened by the loss of lives and properties that was caused by the devastating earthquake in Nepal.

 

 

“The Indian Premier stated that India stands with Nepal in this difficult time and is willing to support the rehabilitation and reconstruction works that the Government of Nepal is going to undertake,” the embassy said.

 

 

Ambassador Upadhyay, on behalf of the people and the Government of Nepal, thanked Prime Minister Modi and the people of India for the prompt assistance and cooperation India extended to Nepal in its rescue and relief operation as well as for its willingness to support Nepal in its reconstruction and rehabilitation process.

 

 

On the occasion, Ambassador Upadhyay congratulated Prime Minister Modi for the successful completion of the first year of his Government and wished him success as well as best wishes to the people and the Government of India.
