Kwatra Indian New Ambassador To Nepal

Nepal Foreign Affairs (KATHMANDU, 15 January 2020) – Vinay Mohan Kwatra was appointed as the new Ambassador of India to Nepal.

According to the Indian media, Kwatra will take charge of India’s Nepal mission, which is taken as a challenging mission. Kwatra is currently serving as Indian ambassador to France. After former Indian ambassador to Nepal Manjiv Singh Puri retired last month, there were speculations as to who would succeed Puri.

Seasoned diplomat Vinay Mohan Kwatra had joined Foreign Service in 1988 and had served as a joint secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office.
He has also served in Indian diplomatic missions in China and the US.
