Minister Pandey receives credentials from WHO Representative



Nepal Foreign Affairs (KATHMANDU, August 5) – Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mahendra Bahadur Pandey received the credentials from Jos Vandelaer, newly appointed Representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Nepal at his office on Wednesday.

while commending the WHO Country Office’s role in Nepal’s health sector, Minister recalled the WHO’s close cooperation with the Government of Nepal including in the post-earthquake context, Mofa said in press release.

WHO’s support in Nepal’s efforts to build on the progress achieved under millennium development goals and make sustainable progress in health sector will be critical, he said. Vandelaer shared his commitment to work closely with the Government of Nepal towards addressing the health needs of the Nepalese people.

Vandelaer will have the overall responsibility for the WHO’s operational activities in Nepal.
