Pakistan ambassador hands over one million to Prime Minister Deuba for flood victims    



 

Nepal Foreign Affairs (KATHMANDU, 29 October 2017) – Pakistan’s Ambassador to Nepal Mazhar Javed called on the Prime Minister of Nepal Sher Bahadur Deuba at his office on 26 October.

Ambassador Javed handed over a cheque of US$ one million as Pakistan’s contribution towards reconstruction/ rehabilitation of the affectees of the recent floods in Nepal to Prime Minister Deuba.

Receiving cheque Prime Minister Deuba thanked the Government and the people of Pakistan for contributing generously to Nepal’s efforts for the reconstruction/ rehabilitation of the flood affectees.

Earlier, the Prime Minister of Pakistan had conveyed his sympathies for the flood affectees and pledged assistance in his meeting with the Prime Minister of Nepal in New York on the sidelines of UNGA, New York in September 2017.

The Governments and people of Nepal and Pakistan enjoy close and friendly relations and have always stood together and cooperated with each other in hour of difficulty, read the press release issued by Pakistan embassy in Kathmandu.
