Prime Minister Modi congratulates Prime Minister Oli  



Nepal Foreign Affairs (KATHMANDU, 15 February 2018) – Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated KP Sharma Oli over phone after swearing in as Prime Minister of Nepal.

Prime Minister Modi has mentioned in the tweet that he spoke to KP Oli and congratulated him on assuming office as Nepal’s Prime Minister.

According to the sources, Modi called Oli immediately after swearing-in as Prime Minister and congratulated him inviting to visit India in a convenient time.

Prime Minister Modi also said that Indian government was looking forward to work with new Nepal government for the promotion of bilateral relations expanding the cooperation in diverse areas.

Modi had previously held two telephonic conversation with Oli after the left alliance had achieved absolute majority in the parliamentary election held in two phases.

Moreover Prime Minister Modi had sent Indian External Affairs Minister Shushma Swaraj as special envoy to Nepal to congratulate Oli  and expressed India’s full support to left government.
