Continuing the tradition of its steadfast cooperation with the Special Procedures mechanism of the UN Human Rights Council, Government of Nepal has invited Special them.
This has been conveyed to the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) through Nepal’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations Office and Other International Organizations in Geneva, MoFA has informed.
Government of Nepal has also reiterated the invitation, which was extended in 2014 and later reiterated in July this year, to the Special Rapporteur on Human Rights of Migrants.
The earlier visit of the Special Rapporteur on the Human Rights of Migrants scheduled for the end of 2014 was later postponed by the Special Rapporteur.
