Nepal Foreign Affairs (Kathmandu, Aug.1)—The 60th anniversary of the Nepal-China diplomatic relations establishment has been marked with various programs organised in Kathmandu on Saturday.
On behalf of the Nepal government, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a reception at Hotel Soaltee Saturday evening. On the occasion Prime Minister Sushil Koirala, Foreign Minister Pandey, Minister for Information and Communications Dr Minendra Rijal and Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Wu Chuntai addressed the function and expressed their wishes for strengthening bilateral relationship between Nepal and China in the days to come.
Nepal China Chamber of Commerce and the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu organised a ‘walkathon program’ from Nepal Academy to Bashantapur Durbar Square this morning to mark the same occasion.
People from various walks of life such as businessmen, diplomats, civil society leaders, professors, journalists and students attended the ‘walkathon program’ and wished for excellent relationship between Nepal and China. Nepal and China established diplomatic relations on August 1, 2015.
