Agreement between Koya Town in Wakayama Prefecture Japan and Lumbini Development Trust in Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal on Cultural and Tourism Exchanges as the World Heritage Sites

 

As the Holy Sites inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage List, Lumbini in Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal and Koya Town in Wakayama Prefecture, Japan (hereinafter referred to as “the Parties”), hereby conclude an agreement for the purpose of promoting exchanges and deepening cooperative relationships between the Parties, and striving for further development.

The Parties conclude the agreement as a milestone for the development of partnership with a strong belief that it makes a significant contribution to the establishment of a strong bond of friendship, mutual respect, promotion on culture and tourism and further development of the Parties as the World Heritage Sites with their spirituality.
