Ambassadors from Jordan, Vietnam and Georgia present credentials to President Yadav (Press Release)



The newly appointed ambassadors of Georgia, Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Nepal, H.E. Mr. Levan Nijharadze, H.E. Mr. Ton Sinh Thanh and H.E. Mr. Hassan Mahmoud Mohammad Al-Jawarneh respectably, paid separate courtesy calls on the Hon. Mr. Mahendra Bahadur Pandey, Minister for Foreign Affairs, at the latter’s office in Singhadurbar in the afternoon today. During the call on meetings, matters relating to various aspects of mutual interests and ways to further enhancing the bilateral relations were discussed. The ambassadors also expressed their governments’ solidarity to the ongoing rehabilitation and reconstruction works in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake of April 25, 2015 and its fatal aftershocks in Nepal. During the occasion, H.E. Mr. Levan Nijharadze, the Ambassador of Georgia, handed over a letter to the Hon. Minister informing that the Government of Georgia had contributed US$ 50,000.00 to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund recently.

Similarly, the three ambassadors held separate meetings with Mr. Shanker Das Bairagi, Officiating Foreign Secretary at the latter’s office earlier in the afternoon today. During the meetings, they exchanged views on various aspects of bilateral relations and laid emphasis on further strengthening and broadening the relations and the spheres of cooperation in the days to come.

Earlier today, the ambassadors had presented their letters of credence to the Rt. Hon. Mr. RamBaran Yadav, President of Nepal, amidst a special ceremony held at Shitalniwas.
