KATHMANDU, Aug. 4 (Nepal Foreign Affairs)–China and India have congratulated Prime Minister-elect Pushpa Kamal Dahal, on Wednesday.
Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Wu Chuntai, reached the prime minister’s Lazimpat-based residence to extend good wishes to PM-elect Dahal on behalf of the Chinese government and the people, Dahal’s secretariat said.
Meanwhile, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the prime minister during a telephone conversation. The Indian premier also invited PM-elect Dahal to visit New Delhi at his convenience.
“Spoke to Nepal’s PM-elect Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ ji & congratulated him. Assured him of our full support & invited him to India,”Modi said on Twitter after the telephone conversation.
