Nepal Foreign Affairs (Kathmandu, Aug. 21)—Assistant Minister of the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Dou Enyong is arriving in Nepal on Sunday, diplomatic sources said.
The Chinese assistant minister-led delegation will hold meetings with Prime Minister Sushil Koirala and top leaders of the major parties during the three-day trip. The Chinese delegation is arriving here to take stock of the progress on constitution-drafting, sources told the NFA. “As an all-weather friend of Nepal, China is wishing early promulgation of the new constitution in Nepal. China wants to see a prosperous and stable Nepal. During the visit, the Chinese minister will convey the same message to Nepali leaders,” said an official involved in preparation of his visit.
