KATHMANDU (27 May 2018 ) – Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has reiterated that government was working honestly to ensure rights, security, respect and opportunity to all people.
Responding to the queries raised during the discussion at House of Representatives on the policies and programmes, PM Oli vowed that government would eliminate corruption, smuggling and black marketing by making effective the government mechanisms.
“The fraud in the name of foreign employments and tax evasion will be eliminated,” he said, adding that the policies and programmes were appropriate.
According to him, the governrment policies and programmes have finely accommodated the pressing issues of the country that are linked to people’s aspiration for development and prosperity. The ways to achieve development are clearly mentioned.
He urged the opposition to make true observation of the government activities by saying right to right works and wrong to the wrong ones. “Nepal can’t remain poor for long. The policies and programmes have aimed to make the country to reach the status of first world from the third world,” the PM argued.
Moreover, the PM said the political system was functioning in a way the people would achieve happiness and prosperity through infrastructure development, country’s security and people’s welfare. Modernization and commercialization of agriculture, creation of employments and production would be augmented to prop up nation’s economy and keep in balance the trade deficit, he underscored.
He further said, “We get access to sea through the ships on the Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali rivers. Study is underway to conduct feasibility study of Kathmandu-Kyirong and Lumbini rail link. Metro rail will be operated in Kathmandu Valley in three years. These are planned activities.”
Expansion of optical fibers, elimination of load shedding and end of syndicates in all sectors were other issues given priority by the government. PM Oli stated that as the constitution was a dynamic document, it would be amended as per the need and relevance.
