Despite Trump’s threat, Nepal votes against his call on Jerusalem  



Nepal Foreign Affairs (KATHMANDU, 22 Dec 2017) – Nepal has demonstrated its independent strength  voting against the President Donald Trump’s unilateral call to make Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Despite Trump’s  coercive diplomacy of not giving fund to those nations, which will vote against his call, Nepal joined in the list of 128 countries to vote against US.

Both Israel and Palestine claim Jerusalem to be their capital. The UN brokered solutions of middle east crisis is the recognition of two nation theory which US rejects.

The world came together to condemn the United States President’ after he planned to relocate the American Embassy of Tel Aviv to Jerusalem on December 6.

Bhutan was the only South Asian country of the 35 nations that abstained to vote while 21 countries didn’t turn up for the vote.
