FM Khanal returns home after active participation in UNGA



KATHMANDU- Minister for Foreign Affairs Shisir Khanal has returned home after attending the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, USA.

He returned home this morning after participating in the UN General Assembly, various high-level programmes and bilateral meetings held on the occasion.

Foreign Minister Khanal had left Kathmandu for New York on September 20.

During his visit, Minister Khanal organized a high-level climate-focused programme on behalf of Nepal titled ‘Sagarmatha to the Sea: A Call to Action for a Climate-Resilient Future.’ He also participated in bilateral meetings and held discussions with his counterparts from various countries on matters of mutual interest.

His participation in the UNGA and various high-level meetings and discussions contributed to promoting Nepal’s interests and enhancing its engagement on the international stage.
