Global Leaders Call for Unity to Tackle Shared Challenges for World Peace



Phnom Penh (Cambodia), Nov.23:  Leaders of various parties in the world have stressed that they need to move forward together against common challenges for world peace on the second day of the 12th General Assembly of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP).

Representatives of political parties from Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe are participating in the conference in Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s capital,

They said that border dispute, digital divide, fake news, cybercrime, human trafficking, climate change, war between two countries are common challenges for world peace.

Putting forward views for peace and reconciliation, the leaders have called upon the respective countries to find a way of peace through mutual dialogue and reconciliation as the war between Israel and Palestine, Russia and Ukraine has increased regional tension and is a major challenge for world peace.

Leaders said that message of every religion is peace, and there is no choice for all religious groups and communities than to grow together for sustainable peace and prosperity. 

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli by corresponding a letter to President of the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP), honorary of ICAPP Hun Sen, said that Nepal has moved forward on path of sustainable peace. 

Prime Minister Oli, who is also the chairman of CPN (UML), said that Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) are working together for the peace, sustainable development and prosperity of Nepal.

Prime Minister Oli said, ‘We are facing increasing geopolitical tension and conflict on the global stage. The discussions at this meeting will provide a unique opportunity to forge deeper ties and work towards building a peaceful, prosperous and stable Asia.”

PM expressed his belief that this will create our common vision for peace and cooperation in Asia and will have a lasting impact in the future.
