Government is committed to the welfare of the people : Prime Minister Oli



Nepal Foreign Affairs (KATHMANDU, 23 December 2018) – Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has expressed his firm commitment to the welfare of the country and people. 

At a programme organised on 95th birth anniversary of Saint leader Krishna Prasad Bhattarai on Sunday, Prime Minister Oli said, “The government has been carrying out different projects actively for the welfare of the nation and the people.” 

Recalling that leader Bhattarai has given the lesson to devote to the welfare of the nation and the people forever, the Prime Minister said that leader Bhattarai always stood in the side of the truth and devoted his entire life for the cause of the nation and the people as well as spent 14 years in jail. 

He also praised the contributions of leader Bhattarai in Nepal’s democratic movement. 
The Prime Minister said that the government has been carrying out activities by keeping the country’s overall development at the centre. 

Clarifying that the government would never be distracted from its goal of heading the country towards the path of development and prosperity, PM Oli said that an investment conference has been scheduled in March 2019 in Kathmandu to lure foreign investment. 

He further said that the country would make a great stride in economic sector if all communities of the society carry out works being honest towards the nation. 

Similarly, Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba recalled that leader Bhattarai’s contribution in people’s movement and constitution promulgation in 2046 BS terming that unforgettable. Deubal said that leader Bhattarai was a multi-dynamic personality. 

Likewise, Spokesperson of the Communist Party of Nepal, Narayankaji Shrestha, said that leader Bhattarai never engaged in foul play in his political career, saying that he was a symbol of integrity.
