Indo-Pacific Command chief in town



Nepal Foreign Affairs (KATHMANDU, 10 January 2018) – United States Indo-Pacific Command chief Admiral Philip S Davidson has arrived in the capital city this afternoon in his two-day official visit to Nepal. 

Admiral Davidson paid a courtesy call on Chief of Army Staff Purna Chandra Thapa this evening. Matters related to exchange of military assistance as well as mutual interests and concerns were discussed on the occasion, shared the Nepal Army Directorate of Public Relations. 

He is also scheduled to hold separate courtesy meetings with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense Iswor Pokharel. 

He will also observe NA’s Birendra Peace Operations Training Centre at Panchkhal in Kavre. Admiral Davidson will return home on Friday afternoon.
