Janakpur Bolts Secure Final in NPL with Thrilling Win Over Karnali Yaks



Kirtipur, Thursday – The Janakpur Bolts advanced to the final of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) with a narrow two-wicket victory over the Karnali Yaks in Qualifier 2.

Chasing a modest target of 119 runs set by Karnali, Janakpur reached the finish line in 19 overs, losing eight wickets along the way.

James Neesham played a crucial knock, scoring 45 runs to anchor the chase. Contributions from Harsh Thaker (17), Sher Malla (16), Mayan Yadav (14), Aakash Tripathi (13), Aasif Sheikh (4), Shubh Kansakar (3), Lahiru Milantha (2), and Mohammad Mohsin (1) helped secure the win for Janakpur.

Karnali’s bowling attack was led by Bipin Sharma, who picked up three wickets. Sompal Kami, Zeeshan Maqsood, and William Bosisto claimed one wicket each, adding pressure to Janakpur’s chase.

Earlier in the match, Karnali Yaks managed to post 118 runs in their allotted 20 overs, with a disciplined bowling performance from Janakpur restricting their total.

With this victory, Janakpur Bolts have booked their spot in the final, where they will face Sudur Paschim in a much-anticipated clash.
