Maoist Centre’s Chairman Dahal leaving for Delhi on Friday upon BJP invitation

The agenda of Prachanda's Delhi visit is not known since there doesn't need to be an agenda or issues for Nepali leaders to meet Indian leaders and government officials. 



Nepal Foreign Affairs (KATHMANDU, 14 July 2022) – Chairman of the CPN-Maoist Centre  Pushpa Kamal Dahal is visiting India an invitation of India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Dahal’s party  is second largest party of Nepal’s ruling alliance.

Dahal is leaving for New Delhi on Friday, informs his secretariat. According to his secretariat, he will attend an event hosted by the party and meet the party’s leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s wife Arzu Rana Deuba and his son, Jayabir Singh Deuba are in New Delhi currently.

After the chief of the International Liaison Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Liu Jiancho returned to Beijing after winding up his four-day visit to Nepal, Dahal’s Delhi visit has been announced. It was reported that Jiu had held delegation level talks with Prachanda and it was reported the discussion was about the possible left alliance in the upcoming general election.

The agenda of Prachanda’s Delhi visit is not known since there doesn’t need to be an agenda or issues for Nepali leaders to meet Indian leaders and government officials.
