MoU signed between Nepal and Myanmar’s Press Council


Nepal Foreign Affairs (KATHMANDU, 13 December 2018) – Press Council Nepal (PCN) and Myanmar Press Council here today signed a MoU for the exchange of cooperation between the two organizations.
PCN Acting Chairman Kishore Shrestha and MPC Chairman Ohn Kyaing signed the MoU to this effect.
MPC delegation along with Sri Lanka Press Council delegation arrived Nepal on Wednesday at the invitation of the PCN.

MPC delegation consists of five members led by its 91-year-old Chair while four members of Sri Lankan Press Council led by its Chair Bandula Koggala are visiting Nepal. They are also scheduled to visit places as Lumbini, Pokhara, Chitwan, Palpa and Kathmandu.

PCN Acting Chair Shrestha briefed the visiting delegates about the regulatory role played by the Press Council Nepal. The MPC Chair and Sri Lanka Press Council Chair have expressed their confidence that their visits could further bolster their countries’ ties with Nepal.
