Nepal Army chief to visit Philippines, South Korea

KATHMANDU, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) — The Nepali army chief will be on official visits to the Philippines and South Korea beginning on Saturday, the Nepali Army said.

A three-member delegation led by Chief of the Army Staff Rajendra Chhetri will participate in the Annual Chiefs of Defense Conference 2016 in Manila to be held from September 5-6, the army headquarters said in a press statement.

The conference is going to be jointly organized by the U.S. Pacific Command and Philippines Army.

After concluding his Manila visit, the Nepali army chief will leave for Seoul to attend the Defense Expo Korea 2016 on September 7-10.
