KATHMANDU- Nepal’s Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal and Maldives’ Foreign Minister Iruthisham Adam held a telephone conversation on Monday, discussing solidarity and cooperation amid difficult circumstances.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Adam expressed deep condolences and solidarity with the government and people of Nepal during this difficult time.
Foreign Minister Khanal expressed profound gratitude to the Government and people of Maldives for their solidarity with and support for Nepal, the ministry said.
The two ministers also discussed common challenges faced by countries vulnerable to climate change and reiterated their commitment to advancing cooperation on climate justice and more effective climate action at regional and multilateral forums, according to the ministry.
