Nepal’s Covid-19 Update : 1,681 PCR and 1,064 antigen cases in 24 hours, death tally up by 41



NFA (KATHMANDU, 15 June 2021) – The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 634,605 as of Tuesday afternoon.

The ministry says 1,681 new cases were confirmed in the country in RT-PCR tests in the past 24 hours. In this period, 7,449 swab samples were tested.

Likewise, 5,841 people underwent antigen tests for the virus, of which an additional 1,064 tested positive.

As of today, there are 63,257 active cases across the country. Of them, 4,389 are hospitalised, 967 in intensive care units and 285 on ventilators.

In the past 24 hours, 4,187 people have achieved recovery whereas 41 deaths have been reported. Nepal’s current recovery rate is 88.3 per cent.

Of the total cases so far, 540,439 people have achieved recovery. Likewise, 8,506 died, according to the ministry.
