NFA (KATHMANDU, 31 July 2022) – A total of 620 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the country in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
The new cases were confirmed from 5,846 tests conducted during the same period. Currently, there are 4,564 active cases of Coronavirus infection in the country. Among the infected ones, 4,424 have been receiving treatment in home-isolation, 143 in institutional isolation, 33 in ICU and 5 on ventilator support, the Ministry said in its routine update.
Similarly, altogether 297 patients enjoyed full recovery in the past 24 hours. With this, the recovery caseload stands at 970,062. The recovery rate is 98.3 per cent. Likewise, a person succumbed to the flu-like infection during the same period taking the death toll to 11,967 till date.
Meanwhile, Kathmandu and Lalitpur districts have over 500 active cases of COVID-19 at present while Morang and Kaski have over 200 cases. Manang, Kalikot, Mugu, Humla, Bajura, Darchula and Bajhang districts do not have any active cases of COVID-19 at the moment. Altogether 25,436 people got vaccinated against COVID-19 today alone, informed the Ministry.
