Nepal Foreign Affairs (KATHMANDU, 7 July 2022) – The Chairman of the Nepal Communist Party (Unity Centre), Puspa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, has said the government’s policy on the Russia-Ukraine war was absolutely wrong. He also informed them that he had expressed his disagreement in the meeting of the ruling alliance on this issue.
While briefing at the meeting of the party central committee, Prachanda mentioned that the government’s favoritism to Ukraine was against Nepal’s geopolitical situation.
“My opinion is that this was a blunder. We shouldn’t have spoken in favor of any country in a state of India demonstrating proximity to Russia and China, openly supporting Russia. Later, I learned that the statement was not issued by the decision of the cabinet. We immediately expressed our disagreement on this issue, “he said.
