New Pakistani Ambassador presents Credential to the President



KATHMANDU- Abrar H Hashmi presented his Letters of Credence as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Nepal to the Ramchandara Paudel, President of the Federal Republic of Nepal, in a ceremony held at Presidency in Kathmandu today.

During the presentation, Ambassador Hashmi conveyed greetings and best wishes of the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi and the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mr. Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif as well as from the people of Pakistan for the personal health of the President of Nepal and continued progress and prosperity of friendly people of Nepal.

According to the press release issued by Pakistani Embassy in Kathmandu, the President welcomed and congratulated His Excellency Abrar H Hashmi, as Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal. He also mentioned a cordial and friendly relations that so happily exists between peoples of Pakistan and Nepal and assured full cooperation of Government of Nepal to the Ambassador in discharge of his duties in Nepal.

The President asked the Ambassador to convey his greetings, and best wishes to the H.E. Dr. Arif Alvi, President Pakistan, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and people of Pakistan for their continued progress and prosperity.

Ambassador Hashmi expressed that the bilateral relationship between Pakistan and Nepal have always been cordial based on goodwill, mutual trust and cooperation.  He further said that both the countries to revive bilateral mechanisms and highlevel contacts. He said that both countries were founding members of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) and said Nepal gives high importance to SAARC and is optimistic and for reactivating of SAARC process.

 

Ambassador Abrar H Hashmi also reiterated the invitation by President of Pakistan to the President of Nepal to visit Pakistan at the earliest. He thanked the President of Pakistan for the kind invitation and said that he would visit Pakistan at an appropriate time, and invites President of Pakistan to pay a visit to Nepal as well.

 

During the ceremony, Foreign Minister, Chief of Army Staff, Principal Secretary to the President, Foreign Secretary and other high officials of the office of the President and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal were present.
