Oli directs UML leaders to join election campaign

NFA (KATHMANDU, 28 August 2022) – Amid pressure due to the electoral alliance of the five ruling parties, the CPN (UML) has directed its leaders and cadres to devote themselves for the election campaigns.

Addressing the first meeting of the party’s central election campaign committee on Sunday, CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli asked the party rank and file to work tirelessly with self-confidence and determination to gain majority for the party.

On the occasion, Oli said that UML’s victory in the upcoming elections was not only for the party but also to safeguard the entire nation stating that only the UML has policies to make country developed and prosperous and bring happiness on people’s livelihood.

Likewise, Oli claimed that the ruling parties were spreading rumours against his party on the citizenship bill and added that the UML firmly believes anyone having obtained the citizenship by birth should acquire the citizenship by descent.

The meeting has formed a secretariat led by Oli to systematically run the tasks of the election mobilization committee. Ishwar Pokharel, Yubraj Gyawali, Ashta Laxmi Shakya and other leaders are the members of the secretariat.
