PM Oli stresses on development aligning 21st century needs



Nepal Foreign Affairs (Garuda, 9 March 2019) – Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has underlined the need to develop each household aligning the vision of 21st century. 

The campaign of ‘Prosperous Nepal and Happy Nepali’ would be brought to its conclusion, said Prime Minister and CPN Chair Oli in his address to the province-2 level public gathering organised by CPN at Garuda of Rautahat district today. 
In order to develop Terai-Madhes the government is executing special projects with budget of Rs 3.53 billion, he said further preparation are underway to liberate the State-2 from a vicious circle of discrimination, backwardness and inequality. 
He also shared necessary budget appropriation was made to complete the construction of postal highway by next election and added survey and study was being carried out in connection with the build-up of four-lane road from Chandranigahar to Gaur as well as construction of drinking water and ring-road in Garuda municipality. 
He also went on saying the government was emphatically putting in place the initiatives such as agriculture modernization, loan subsidy to farmers and construction of agro market and cold stores. 
PM Oli further said several additional initiatives including expansion of road sections in Birgunj-Patlaiya, Kalaiya, Dhanusha, Chaurwa-Siraha, Dhalkebar-Janakpurhdam, Janakpurdham-Jatahi, Janakpursham-Bhithathamod, construction of Nijgadh airport, fast track, electric rail and Madan Bhandari highway as well as operation of night air service from Janakpur would take stride soon. 
While lauding the State-2 government’s campaign ‘Educate and Protect Daughters’, PM Oli expressed happiness over the students’ enrolment campaign by the federal government last year as well. 
He also urged all to join hands in the national campaign of prosperity. Sharing that the free Madhes movement campaigner CK Raut has also come to mainstream politics, he said there was therefore no doubt in materializing the campaign for prosperity. 
The PM also said he was frequently drawing attention of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the problem of inundation in Tarai caused by the infrastructures constructed by Indian side and expressed hope the problem will be resolved soon. 
Prime Minister Oli claimed all kinds of problems facing Tarai would be resolved automatically with the flow of the development. 
On another note, he said the backlogs of party unification would be finalised soon. 
Another chair of the party Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ among other leaders had addressed the programme.
