President Bhandari is leaving for New York on March 10

Nepal Foreign Affairs (KATHMANDU, 6 March 2019) – President Bidya Devi Bhandari is leading the Nepali delegation to the 63rd session of UN Commission on the Status of Women to be held in New York.

President Bhandari is leaving for New York, USA on March 10. 

The President is scheduled to address the high level segment entitled “Women in Power” to be held as part of the 63rd session of the CSW.

Sharing about the 40th meeting of the UN Human Rights Council held in Geneva recently, Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradip Kumar Gyawali told reporters that the delegation led by the President will also include Minister for Women, Children and Elderly Citizens Thammaya Thapa. 

Other members of the delegation comprise the Foreign Secretary, the Secretary of the Office of the President, experts, the Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Women, Children and Elderly citizens, and representatives from the government and non-government sector.
