Prime Minister Oli congratulates UK’s Theresa May



BN-KS081_1011ne_P_20151011092020KATHMANDU, July 14 (Nepal Foreign Affairs)– Prime Minister K. P. Sharma Oli, on Thursday, congratulated UK Prime Minister Theresa May on her assumption of the high office of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

While recalling the bicentennial of traditionally warm, close, friendly and cooperative relations between Nepal and the UK that both countries are celebrating this year, Prime Minister Oli has expressed sincere appreciation for the consistent solidarity extended by the UK to Nepal in its struggle for democracy. The premier also expressed gratitude for the UK’s continued contribution to Nepal’s development endeavors.

Prime Minister Oli further stated in his congratulatory message that Nepal’s topmost priority today is the implementation of the Constitution promulgated in September last year while expediting the most urgent post-earthquake reconstruction works.

“Nepal is engaged in laying the foundation for accelerated and sustainable economic development. Against this backdrop, he has expressed hope for UK’s continued solidarity and cooperation,” the prime minister said.
