Prime Minister Oli insists on combined efforts for BIMSTEC success

Nepal Foreign Affairs (KATHMANDU, 31 August 2018) –  Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said prosperity in the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation is possible through combined efforts and collaborations among the member states.

In his concluding remarks at the fourth BIMSTEC Summit here today, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude to all other member-state of the sub-regional body for their support and cooperation to Nepal during the tenure of its leadership.

He expressed his hope for proactive support and cooperation from all to ensure effective enforcement of the 18-point Kathmandu Declaration endorsed by the two-day Summit. Acknowledging the roles of BIMSTEC general secretary, officials concerned of the member nations, Nepal’s security officials, media persons and intellectuals in successfully concluding the Summit, he said Nepal had demonstrated its diplomatic capability to the global community by successfully hosting the regional events like SAARC and BIMSTEC Summits.
