Nepal Foreign Affairs (KATHMANU, 26 March 2018) – Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Monday said that the government’s priority was to strengthen the neighbourhood relations on the basis of mutual respect and cooperation.
Launching a book titled ‘Nepal-China Relations” edited by Anjan Shakya in the official residence of Prime Minister at Baluwatar, he said the relations with neighbours would be effectively used for the development, stability and integrity of the nation.
‘The neighbourhood relations is built on the basis of mutual respect and dignity. We highly respect our two neighbours and we want the same from the neighbours” Prime Minister said.
Prime Minister Oli was having flashback of his China visit and the agreements. Recalling his visit he said the agreements and MOUs were made possible due to the aspiration and support of the Nepali people.
‘China has always respected the sovereignty of Nepal. It has never carried out works setting back to Nepal’s geographical integrity and dignity’ Prime Minister said.
The transit and transport agreement was the outcome of Nepali peoples’ unity and aspiration, he said adding that all the agreements would be accelerated in action.
Prime Minister Oli urges all to end the path of violence and warned that the government would not tolerate. In the program, Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradip Gwayali and China’s Ambassador to Nepa Yu Hong also spoke on Nepal-China relations.
