Nepal Foreign Affairs (KATHMANDU, 30 May) – Prime Minister K.P.Sharma oli on Monday launched a book entitled ‘Silence of the Summit’ written by Chinese alpinist and entrepreneur Ms. Wang Jing at Baluwatar. The book is an anthology of her experiences of summiting the World’s highest peaks including the Mt. Everest. She climbed the Everest three times between 2014 -2016.
Unveiling the book amid record breaker Sherpas, Prime Minister applauded Ms. Jing for her bold and courage to summit the world highest peak Mt. Everest with registering some new records. She broke the record of reaching Mt. Everest in second fastest time.
” I am really surprised to see her courage. She is such a bold who broke so many records and made new marks” Prime Minister Oli said. Prime Minister Oli congratulated her for bringing a book that includes her experiences to climb the peaks including Everest.
Prime Minister also said that the book will contribute lot to strengthen the bilateral relations existed between Nepal and China.
On the occasion, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal,Wu Chuntai said that Ms. Jing’s story mentioned in the book will give more to bilateral relations especially in tourism. China and Nepal are good neighbours, Ambassador said,”we have long history of friendship and cooperation since the establishment of diplomatic relations.”.
He said that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli made a successful visit to China. ”The agreements and understanding reached between the two governments during the visit have reached the bilateral relations in newer height”. he said, ”The visit remained as new era in Nepal-China relations.”
He appreciates that the Oli government was implementing all agreements as per the understanding.
