Tibetan govt provides medical goods worth over Rs 70 million to State No 1



RSS (KATHMANDU, 1 June 2020) -The government of Tibetan Autonomous Region (TAR) of China has provided medical goods worth Rs 77 million to State-1 government.

Nepal China Executive Council State No 1 coordinator Mukesh Upadhyay handed over the in-kind support to Chief Minister of State No 1 Sherdhan Rai here today. CM Rai stated that the government here had maintained precautionary measures for prevention and control of COVID-19 and while treating the infected ones due to which it succeeded in preventing the infection.

Stating that the moral of State government had been boosted with the support of Tibetan government, he shared that preparation was afoot to conduct PCR tests on as many as 50,000 COVID-19 suspected persons in the State No 1. The medical goods provided by the Tibetan government include 18 kinds of different protective equipment, gears and safety tools.

He also assured of the best and effective use of the support. On the occasion, Upadhyay said that the Tibetan government would provide support to promote Nepal’s tourism, agriculture and trade and it would benefit a larger public if those support were best utilized.
