US Deputy Secretary Verma pays courtesy call on PM Oli



KATHMANDU – Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources of the United States, Richard Rahul Verma, paid a courtesy visit to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Friday.

As reported by the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, the meeting took place on Friday afternoon during Verma’s one-day visit to Nepal. According to the U.S. Embassy in Nepal, Verma’s agenda includes meetings with senior government officials, development professionals, and business leaders.

Discussions will focus on shared priorities in economic development, with particular attention to women’s empowerment, energy, and strengthening people-to-people ties. Verma is also scheduled to meet with tea industry experts, Nepali business leaders, and USAID Nepal’s program implementation partners.
