Visit of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nepal to India (September 11-13, 2016)
At the invitation of External Affairs Minister of India, Smt. Sushma Swaraj, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nepal H.E. Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat is visiting India from 11-13 September, 2016.
The ongoing visit of Foreign Minister Dr. Mahat to India is his first visit abroad after assuming office last month. The visit is part of regular high-level bilateral exchanges between the two countries.
Both the Ministers held wide ranging talks on 12 September 2016 on issues of mutual interest, and covering the entire gamut of bilateral relations, including the upcoming high-level exchanges between the two countries.
Both sides reiterated their commitment to further strengthen and deepen age-old, close and friendly ties in diverse sectors such as trade and mutual investments, defense and security, economic and development partnership, infrastructure develoment, energy and water resources, and forging connectivities to facilitate movement of goods and services, people and ideas.
