Nepal Foreign Affairs (KATHMANDU, 10 June) – Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun is visiting Kunming, Yunnan Province of China from 10-16 June 2016 to attend the 4th China-South Asia Exposition 2016 and 24th China Kunming Import and Export Fair. The exposition and fairs are scheduled to be held fromJune 12-17, 2016. The Vice President will be addressing at the opening ceremony of the 4th China South Asia Exposition as well as 11thChina South Asia Business Forum on 12 June 2016.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the delegation comprises of the Spouse of the Vice President, Secretary of the Office of the Vice President, Chargé d’Affair of the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing and other officials from the Office of the Vice President, Office of the Prime Minster and Council of Ministers, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing.
The Ministry of Commerce of China and Yunnan Provincial People’s Government sponsor the China-South Asia Expo and Fair each year. These are the combination of trade fair and high level forums for interactions on investment and trade promotion between China and South Asian countries.Nepal has been regularly participating in the Expositionssince its inception.
Vice president will be returning to Kathmandu on 16 June 2016.
