Nepal Foreign Affairs (KATHMANDU, 13 January 2019) – Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali has said the status of the women is similar in Nepal and Pakistan.
Launching a book ‘Women Writing in Pakistan’ held at Nepal Academy in the capital on Sunday, Minister Gyawali said the women had dual roles in household and outside.
He added literary and cultural similarities have harmonized bilateral ties between Nepal and Pakistan as Pakistani and Urdu gazal and Sayari are famous literary genre in Nepali literature.
Also speaking on the occasion, Nepal Academy Chancellor Ganga Prasad Upreti stressed on the need to translate books to exchange opinions and cultures in different areas.
Pakistani ambassador to Nepal Mazhar Javed shared that the culture and literature are harmoniously enhancing bilateral relations between Nepal and Pakistan.
